Visual results in eyes operated on with toric bifocal intraocular lens AT.Lisa 466 TD

Objective
While bifocal nontoric implants are more and more accepted the visual results of uncorrected near and distant vision after implantation of bifocal toric implants are still disussed.
Methods
Prospective study on 76 eyes with corneal astigmatism from 1,0 -4,5 diopters implanted with toric bifocal AT.Lisa 466 TD
Results
Average uncorrected vision was 0,87; when amblyopic eyes were excluded 0,97. The average uncorrected near vision in nonamblyopic eyes was 1,02.
In comparison to eyes implanted with non toric bifocal intraocular lens AT.Lisa 366 D there was no statistical significant difference in near or distance vision.
Conclusions
Even eyes with higher corneal astigmatism reach good uncorrected near and distance vision when implanted with toric bifocal intraocular lens AT.Lisa 466 TD |
