Macular edama: what can we achieve today?

Macular edema (ME) represents a sight threatening complication of uveitis. Therefore an early and consequent treatment is necessary. Here it has to be differentiated between a ME due to an active intraocular inflammation and a chronic ME. Current treatment options for both forms of ME will be presented and discussed.
