Objective
Eyes with an astigmatism more than 0.75D were not the best indication for MIOL. Astigmatism had to be reduced by corneal incisions or bioptics to avoid postoperative visual problems.
Methods
We implanted a toric, bifocal MICS IOL (Acri.LISA TD) after CO-MICS through a 1.5 – 1.8mm incision in more than 40 eyes, to avoid a corneal incision or bioptics. Pre- and postoperative refraction, videokeratoscopy, IOL orientation and UCVA and BCVA was documented up to 18 months. Some patients answered a questionaire.
Results
First results show a very high predictability of postoperative critical parameters. More than 90% of patients did not use glasses any more. In all patients a two time surgical approach could be avoided. The correction and UCVA even of very high astigmatisms was very satisfying.
Conclusions
90% of patients after CO-MICS and the implantation of Acri.LISA TD IOL did not use glasses any more. CO-MICS and the Acri.LISA TD seem to be perfect partners in phacorefractive surgery. |
