Abstract

SO.06.09

Individually adapted intraocular lens surgery

Fritz Hengerer
Universitäts-Augenklinik Bochum

Modern cataract surgery offers a large variety of solutions for correcting preoperative refractive errors. In case of postoperative deviation from target refraction, secondary surgical procedures may be taken into consideration. Therefore the light-adjustable intraocular lens seems to offer advantage because the postoperative adjustment of spherical and/or astigmatic refractive errors are performed individually and non-invasive using ultraviolet light according to the underlying patients´needs.
