A public guided tour will take place on 23 September 2009 at 15 hrs (Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig, Altes Rathaus, Markt 1, 04109 Leipzig).
Further information here.

Zoo Leipzig

Enjoy a visit to the Kiwara Savanna, the castle of the bears, the temple of the elephants, "Ganesha Mandir" and lots of other attractions on your own or book a themed tour with a zoo guide, for example an exciting adventure tour or an impressive exclusive tour with a look behind the scenes.
Further information you will find here.

Excursion to Wörlitz

Wörlitz is a small town in Saxony-Anhalt with a more than 1000-year-old history. Here you can visit one of the most beautiful landscape gardens in continental Europe which belongs to the World
Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO since November 2000. The laying-out is open to the public and besides recovery it also should conduce to one’s education. The city Wittenberg and the Bauhaus city Dessau are close as well and worth a visit as well. Further information you will find here.

Excursion to the "Muldental"

Drive through the Muldenthal to Grimma for a walk through the wonderful old city. There you can visit the monument of the Russian-German chemist, Nobel Laureate and philosopher Wilhelm Ostwald ("Do not waste energy, utilize and improve it!").
On the way back, it is worthwhile making a quick stop at the Nimbsche Monastery. This monastery became famous through the nun Katharina von Bora who married Martin Luther on 13 June 1525 in the 'Black Monastery' in Wittenberg.

The monastery ruin is open to the public free of charge:
